Concerts, Live Shows, Rides & Food at the PNE Fair
The PNE Fair runs from late August until early September in Vancouver. Although it’s not a “music festival”, the fair features Summer Night Concerts and free music, plus rides, food and other entertainment.
In 2026 the PNE Fair runs from August 22 to September 7, with closures on August 24 and August 31. This year’s edition of the Fair puts music at the centre of the program, perhaps even more than other years, thanks to the PNE’s amazing new outdoor concert venue.
15 ticketed Summer Night Concerts happen at the Freedom Mobile Arch. Elsewhere on site, there are also free evening sets, cultural performances and roaming musicians.
Tickets and Admission
General admission to the PNE covers the fairgrounds, indoor exhibits, Farm Country and the scheduled shows included with Fair entry. Rides, midway games, food and Summer Night Concerts are separate purchases. The site is large, and several stages operate at the same time, so a simple priority list makes the day easier: choose the concert or major show first, then build the rides, food and smaller performances around it.
Online prices for the PNE Fair are $30 for adults ages 19 to 64, $24 for seniors 65 and older, $24 for youth ages 13 to 18, and $17 for children ages 4 to 12. Children 3 and under enter for free, with a maximum of five children per paying adult age 21 or older. Online purchases generally carry a $2 service fee.
General admission does not include access to the rides. A limited-quantity Any Day Ride Pass costs $40 and must be purchased as an add-on to an Any Day Gate Pass. It covers Fun or Thrill rides but excludes separately priced attractions.
Season pass: The 2026 PNE Fair Season Pass costs $99 and is valid on all operating days. It covers admission only, not rides.
2026 Summer Night Concerts
The Summer Night Concerts move into the Freedom Mobile Arch for its official Fair debut. The purpose-built outdoor amphitheatre brings improved sightlines and acoustics, and the lineup reaches from Canadian roots rock and hip-hop to orchestral pop, Punjabi music, funk, post-hardcore and comedy rock. Tickets start at $49 plus fees, and include admission to the PNE Fair on the same day. This year’s Summer Night Concerts schedule is below.

Free Music Included With Admission
Music in the Park brings two free sets to the BCAA Stage every operating night at 7:00 pm and 8:30 pm. The 2026 programme mixes tribute productions, Vancouver party bands, Cuban music, folk-rock and funk. These sets provide a full evening option for visitors who do not add a ticketed concert to their itinerary. This year’s Music in the Park schedule is below.

Fair Food
Food at the PNE is part of the planning, not a break between attractions. The vendor list often includes classic midway snacks, oversized portions, limited-edition creations and meals from independent vendors. Food is purchased separately from admission.

Tip: Eat outside the noon and early-evening rushes when possible. The busiest vendors can build long queues before concert doors and major showtimes.

Farm Country and Family Activities
Farm Country runs daily from 11:00 am to 10:00 pm, combining livestock displays with pig races, horse demonstrations, pony rides, archery and agriculture shows. The Kids Discovery Farm gives younger visitors ten hands-on stations, including collecting eggs, planting seeds and harvesting apples. The 4-H Festival also returns during the opening portion of the Fair.
Tip: Pair one scheduled indoor show with Farm Country and a ride. That gives the day a clear rhythm without forcing children to cross the grounds repeatedly.
Playland Rides
The ride area combines family attractions with larger thrill rides, including ThunderVolt, the electric launch coaster introduced in 2024. For 2026, the limited Any Day Ride Pass costs $40 as an add-on to a Fair Any Day Gate Pass. Height restrictions apply, and the pass excludes separately priced attractions.

Tip: Start with the attraction that matters most to you. Wait times usually grow after the grounds fill, especially on weekends and concert nights.
Hastings Park and Getting There
The PNE Fair takes place at Hastings Park, 2901 East Hastings Street in East Vancouver. The grounds include the Pacific Coliseum, Agrodome, Rollerland, Playland and multiple outdoor stages, so comfortable footwear matters. Transit is usually easier than driving on busy evenings, when both road traffic and parking demand rise around the site.

Practical Tips
- Choose one headline event first, whether that is a concert, Wizard of Oz on Ice or the SuperDogs, and plan the rest of the day around its start time.
- Use free Music in the Park sets as the evening anchor when you are not attending a ticketed concert.
Arrive earlier on weekends if rides are a priority. - Bring a portable phone charger. Tickets, schedules and venue information are easiest to manage from your phone.
- Leave extra time to cross the grounds. The Pacific Coliseum, BCAA Stage, Farm Country and Freedom Mobile Arch are not all in the same area.
