Ukulele Festival Workshops and Live Music in Fort Langley

The Fort Langley International Ukulele Festival returns September 24 to 26, 2026, for its second year in the Village of Fort Langley. The Langley Ukulele Association presents the event and describes it as the only ukulele festival in Metro Vancouver. Music, concerts and jams from Hawaii and the Pacific Northwest anchor the entire weekend.

During the festival, free outdoor performances run alongside two ticketed evening concerts and a workshop program of more than 30 sessions.

2026 Concerts and Other Live Music Events

Two ticketed evening concerts anchor the festival’s music program. In 2026 “Island Voices” takes the stage at Chief Sepass Theatre on Friday, September 25. The group spotlights the festival’s Hawaii-based artists alongside the group Hālau Hula KaʻUhane O Ka Pākīpika.

The “Pacific Ukulele Showcase” follows on Saturday, September 26, featuring performers from the Pacific Northwest and the Langley Ukulele Ensemble.

Both concerts run from 7 to 9 pm with doors opening at 6 pm. General admission is $25 per concert and seating is non-reserved.

Festival Workshops and Artists

More than 30 workshops run across the Friday and Saturday at Salishan Place by the River in 2026. They are split into four concurrent sessions each day between 9:30 am and 4:30 pm, with breaks and a lunch period built into the schedule.

Sessions cover songwriting, Hawaiian melody and rhythm, strumming technique, chord melody, improvisation and ukulele bass, with options ranging from beginner to advanced. Peter Luongo also leads a 25-participant ensemble track for intermediate and advanced players who want to perform together as a group.

Note: Workshop registration is part of the full 2026 festival package, which was already sold out weeks in advance. The Friday and Saturday evening concerts were the only 2026 tickets available as of the last time we checked. For details, visit langleyevents.ca/registration for updates.

Free Outdoor Concerts and Jams

Free programming fills in around the ticketed events, including outdoor concerts, open mics and jam sessions at venues around the village. Lendl San Jose leads the festival jams on the Friday and Saturday. Locations and start times can shift, so check langleyevents.ca/line-up before heading out.

Ukulele Festival Venues

Last year much of the festival took place at Fort Langley National Historic Site, which was awesome. In 2026, however, everything takes place elsewhere. Below is where you’ll find things this year.

Salishan Place by the River: the festival’s primary venue and home to the 2026 workshop program. The 40,000-square-foot facility sits across from Fort Langley National Historic Site and includes an Indigenous garden and outdoor amphitheatre.
Chief Sepass Theatre: venue for the Friday and Saturday evening concerts.
Fort Langley Community Hall: a 1931 heritage building that hosts the Thursday VIP Luau.

Festival venues sit within walking distance of Fort Langley National Historic Site, the fort that gives the village its name. General admission to the historic site is separate from festival tickets, and Parks Canada offers free entry to visitors 17 and under.

Full festival registrations, which include the workshop programs, sell out weeks in advance (so book early if you want to go).
The Thursday VIP Luau requires a separate $65 CAD ticket and sells out well in advance.
Pre-ordered lunch is available through the festival’s caterer for an added cost.
Proceeds from the event support the Langley Ukulele Association’s youth ensembles and leadership programs.
Tickets are non-refundable, so confirm plans before purchasing.
